Creative Action: The purpose of the forum is to empower people to create new employment opportunities, and to create a better Ireland for everybody. Creative action is a voluntary non political organisation comprising of people from all walks of life. Creative action believes in enabling people to recognize the wealth of talent and expertise they already have to share.

Emerge Skillnet – Emerge Skillnet – The Only Ethnic Business Training Network in Ireland. The aim of the Emerge Skillnet is ‘the business integration and growth for ethnic entrepreneurs and their businesses in a multi-cultural Ireland’. Some of the courses that are on offer at up to 80% subsidized funding.

Dublin City Council Business Support Unit – The Business Support Unit which is an is an initiative of the Economic Development Department will provide information on, and co-ordinate access to the range of Dublin City Council services that are required for setting up or growing a business.

Open Up – The Openup website is designed to help Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) managers understand and use IT and eBusiness to improve competitiveness and grow sales.

Acumen Intertrade Ireland- Acumen helps SMEs to grow their businesses by targeting Northern Irish markets. The programme offers four support options – Consultancy Support; Sales Salary Support; Prospector Support; Sales Graduate programme. Typically Acumen will fund up to 50% of costs involved.

Go-2-Tender- This programme aims to give SME’s the confidence, knowledge and skills to tender successfully for public sector contracts particularly on a cross-border basis.

Plato Ireland – Plato Ireland is a confidential business support forum for owner managers of SMEs. Through a unique partnership with large “parent” companies and enterprise development agencies, Plato provides SMEs with facilitated group learning, specialist expertise and advice, networking opportunities, business development training, and cross border activities.

Enterprise Builder Mentoring – Service Free mentoring scheme for Bank of Ireland customers

Business Networking Ireland – BNI provides a structured, supportive, business environment in which local business people can get together to network, learn valuable new marketing skills and develop the strong personal relationships that lead to trust and the consequent generation of significant business for each other.

Brite Network (DCEB – Dublin region) – In Dublin City there are several networks to choose from; LINK!, Dublin City Enterprise Network for Women, PLATO Dublin. LINK! and the Dublin City Enterprise Network for Women are run by Dublin City Enterprise Board. PLATO and BRITE are joint initiatives between the four Dublin City and County Enterprise Boards.

Chambers Ireland – Chambers Ireland is the country’s largest business organisation, with 60 member chambers representing over 13,000 businesses throughout the island of Ireland. It is a company limited by guarantee, owned by its member chambers, which pay an annual membership subscription fee.

Small Firms Association – The national organisation exclusively representing the needs of small enterprises (i.e. those employing less than 50 employees) in Ireland.

Irish Small and Medium Enterprise Association – Independent organisation for the Irish small & medium business sector, with in excess of 8,500 members nationwide. ISME offers a comprehensive range of Advisory Services and Publication, Independent Lobbying and Representation, Cost Saving Schemes, Training and Development Programmes, and Regional Networking Events.

MicroTrade – The MicroTrade Programme aims to promote cross-border trade and business co-operation specifically within the micro-enterprise sector. The programme came about as a result of a three-way partnership between InterTradeIreland, the County & City Enterprise Boards (Republic of Ireland ) and Enterprise Northern Ireland, the umbrella body of the 32 Local Enterprise Agencies in NI.
